The Trial Pilgrimage

To:
The Congregation of Strava

A summons to the Congregation of Strava

The Congregation runs scattered. Across countless cities and continents. Rarely in sight of one another.

The Ministry proposes a challenge. A show of unity for one another. A show of devotion to the path. A test for something bigger.

The Earth measures 24,901 miles at the equator. 40,075 kilometers. In thirty-one days, the Congregation will run every one of them.

Beginning May 1. Ending May 31. One full circuit of the planet, logged mile by mile through the legs of the faithful.

No one carries this alone.

Run wherever the path finds you. Your block, your trail, your treadmill, your track. The miles are added together. The Congregation circles the globe as one, from wherever each runner stands.

A short pilgrimage, undertaken to prepare for the longer ones ahead.

Every activity logged in Strava between May 1 and May 31 contributes, at any pace. Long runs, shakeouts, recoveries, commutes, track sessions, trail miles, the slow Wednesday after a hard track Tuesday. All of it counts. The path takes many forms.

Stickers will be sent from the Seat of the Ministry. Top contributors by distance. Top contributors by time on feet. Volume honored. Effort honored. Each runner is counted once. Your strongest ranking holds; the other spot passes to the next in line.

Every contributor may purchase the same sticker at cost. First access before any public sale, until stock runs out.

Join the club. Run your runs. Let the tally climb.

Something larger is being built. Watch what follows.

Curre bene.

The Particulars

Begins: May 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM Pacific Time

Ends: May 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time

Distance goal: 24,901 miles (40,075 km), the equatorial circumference of the Earth

How it works: Every qualifying activity logged in Strava's club between May 1 and May 31 is added to a single Congregation total. The Congregation runs on one shared clock, Pacific Time, since Strava does not report each runner's local time. Run from wherever you are. Location does not matter.

Qualifying activities: Run, Trail Run, Virtual Run, Wheelchair. These are the activity types Strava counts toward a Run club's totals.

Activity privacy: Activities must be set to "Everyone" or "Followers" to be counted. "Only You" activities will not register.

Recognition: Stickers by post to top contributors by distance and top contributors by time on feet. Each runner counted once, strongest ranking holds, the other spot passes to the next in line.

Open to all contributors: Same stickers available at cost, first access before any public sale, until stock runs out.
